I’m back! Did you miss me?

 O. Em. Gee. I haven’t updated this blog since the pandemic. I had a burst of initiative to start a blog and I kinda left y’all hanging! Sorry!!! πŸ˜… I had a lot going on with work, nursing school, a few knocks here and there caused me to have to put my collecting on the back burner. I’m slowly coming back now for the time being and I have a bunch of new, exciting things (dolls) to show you. I won’t keep you waiting too long this time. I promise! I hope you guys have a fantastic evening.

A Barbie x Uggs Collaboration anyone?

No, there's not actually going to be a Barbie x Ugg collab. Boo! (At least...not that I'm aware of.)
Though wouldn't it be an absolutely adorable and cute idea if Barbie was to partner with Ugg and come out with a cute, little line of miniature Ugg slides & boots for the infamous doll? Barbie has been coming out with a lot of cute fashion packs as of recent. Does the Puma fashions ring a bell, anyone? Not only were the clothing choices realistic and versatile -- the attention to detail on the accessory pieces were impeccable! (The hand bags could've been designed a little better, just sayin'!) Those tennis shoes though? Whew...
I also enjoyed that the clothing choices could fit curvy Barbies as well, not just the slim body types.
I don't own this image.

(Unfortunately they've been so popular that the prices on third-party websites are through-the-roof. Ugh! 24.99? Really?)
I don't own this image.
However  I feel as though it would be the same scenario if Barbie were to partner with Ugg as well. Ever since Ugg started making these giant, fluffy slipper shoes, they've been a hit! You can't go anywhere without seeing them. Even in retail stores you can find little knock off versions of the shoes. Do you know how fast people would purchase those for their Barbies? Children and adult collectors alike? Barbie this is a opportunity to capitalize off of this. Both Ugg and Barbie would make their fortunes and us dolly collectors will be excited! Depending on the quality of the product, of course. Like the photo depicted above, I would want realism and actual cloth pieces and not some molded rubber close-enough type of material because that would be so disappointing.

I remember that Barbie partnered with Forever 21 sometime last year with a clothing line which was absolutely adorable. I don't necessarily shop at Forever 21 that often but I was tempted to snag that pink Barbie 2 piece sweat suit that was apart of the collab. F21 actually does have a lot of great fashion choices that I would've loved to see in some Barbie fashion packs down the road, especially the shoes and jackets. (I'm a sucker for a cute bomber jacket!) I thought that originally when the two companies collab'd that there would've been some F21 Barbie fashion packs to go along with the collab. That wasn't the case! (Boo!!)

All hope isn't lost. This is Barbie we are talking about of course. I am sure we are going to get some more  Barbie collaborations with fashion companies to give us our fix of fashion fusion that we desparately crave. (Well at least I do.)

finally started a blog... while under quarantine? lol...

Heeeeeey! If you're like reading this post right now, more than likely you're under quarantine just like me because of Covid-19 or its more popular name, Coronavirus. I mean unless you're an essential worker like the hospital workers, food service industry, mail carriers and etc.  I'd personally would love to give you all a big hug (although social distancing says that's a big no-no so I won't do that) but I will say a big THANK YOU for all that you do instead.

It's currently 10:41 PM and I am currently typing my little fingers away at this post because I am obviously showing signs of rebellion against going to sleep although my body is craving to do so. I guess I haven't fully grown out of my rebellious teenage years just yet. I still haven't found a Disney prince to cling to while wailing "daddy I love him!" which would make all the sensible adults around me roll their eyes in irritation, or  maybe smirk in amusement. All jokes aside, I figured that I have procrastinated enough when it came to running this blog. I've wanted to make a blog since I was around 13 and the drive wasn't necessarily there (cough..laziness..cough) despite the fact I was infatuated by other blogs, mainly ones that pertained to Barbie & other fashion dolls. I don't know if it came from insecurity that made me think that my thoughts weren't important enough or maybe my blog wouldn't be eye pleasing enough for anyone to want to read my brain dumps. (Oops too explicit?)

Don't worry, I am a woman of my promises (some of the time.) I promised that you'll see a bunch of my shenanigans (still don't know if this first post counts as that or not... errr....) and photography, stories doll collections, hauls and a lot of other cool things that interest me that also may be interesting to you! If you're like still reading this you're probably thinking "where is she even going with this post?" and if you are, don't worry because so am I. (L.O.L) So I think it's time that I hit the hay and figure out some content that you all will want to see. So until next time, Tiff is out! Peace! (ZzzzzZZZzzzz...)
